Theme: Digitalization, Governance and Trust. Governance in the emerging digitalized economy: How to combine economic value creation with inclusiveness and fair distribution?

Throstur Olaf Sigurjónsson, Professor at the School of Business at the University of Iceland, will give an introductory presentation covering the NOS-HS team‘s research on Digitalization, Governance and Trust.

Research presentations and Q&A follow:

  • Throstur Olaf Sigurjonsson, professor at University of Iceland, Audur Arna Arnardottir, Associate Professor at Reykjavik University and Stefan Wendt, professor at Bifrost University. Throstur Olaf presents their research on Annual General Meetings, Digitalization and Shareholder Democracy.
  • Thomas Poulsen, Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School. Thomas will present his research on Cooperatives and the possible need of an digital intervention.
  • Murray Bryant, professor emeritus at Ivey Business School and Throstur Olaf Sigurjonsson, professor at University of Iceland. Murray will present their research on Inclusive Capitalism, A New Sustainable Business Model, Necessary Changes and Metrics for Implementation.
  • Atle Midtun, professor emeritus at BI in Oslo. Atle will present his research on Nordic work life model and the challenge from deregulation and digitalization.
  • Michel Avital, professor at Copenhagen Business School. Michel will present his research on Leveraging emerging technologies for ‘Future-Ready’ organizations.
  • Alvaro Arenas, professor at IE Business School. Alvaro will discuss his research on How companies co-create IT-based value when working on digital platforms, and how they manage the challenges of coopetition.
