The 50th annual meeting and conference of NORDTEK will take place June 8 to 10 and the conference itself will take place on June 9 in Gróska.
The theme of this years conference is: Engineering in a Hyper-Connected World
NORDTEK, founded in Reykjavík in 1973, is an organization of rectors and deans of engineering and technology universities in the Nordic and Baltic countries and consists of 28 schools in eight countries. NORDTEK's role is to develop and strengthen the schools' international position in the field of engineering studies and research, in addition NORDTEK supports engineering students intend to go as exchange students their studies.
The University of Iceland (School of Engineering and Natural Sciences) is the host of the conference on NORDTEKG 50th anniversary and a the maind conference will take place on June 9 in Gróska. Prior and after the main conference, groups within NORDTEK will meet and and discuss cooperation in the comming years, these groups are the studentgroup, contact person group and the rectors and presidents of the universities.
