The Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science is part of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the University of Iceland. Diverse undergraduate studies are offered in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer sciences, in addition to a range of speciality areas within those subjects. Rigorous graduate programmes are offered at the master's and doctoral levels.
The faculty has a long tradition of research. An exceptional team of well-educated and well-trained lecturers work at the faculty, all of who are active in research cooperation with domestic and international institutions, businesses and universities. Research at the faculty is both practical and theoretical, and a rich emphasis is placed on publishing results in international peer-reviewed venues, such as academic journals and conferences.
There is a substantial amount of cooperation with respected international universities, giving students at the faculty the option of completing part of their studies abroad.
