Academic programmes at the Faculty of Languages and Cultures
The faculty offers diverse academic programmes in Asian studies, Nordic languages, the major European and American languages in addition to classical languages.

Programmes covering the following subjects are offered:

  • Asian studies: Japanese and Chinese
  • Nordic languages: Danish and Swedish
  • Major European and American languages: English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish
  • Classical languages: Greek and Latin (a key to European culture from the beginning)

Students apply their language skills and theoretical insight into linguistics, literature and culture to adopt knowledge and ability to tackle interesting international careers, e.g. international relations, tourism and business, or in professions related to the teaching of languages, translations, the media, culture, public relations and administrative work.

B.A. programmes (3 years of study) are offered in all subjects covered by the faculty, diploma programmes (1½ year of applied studies) and M.A. programmes (2 years of study) while M.A. in teaching foreign languages is also offered in Danish, English, French, German and Spanish.
