Since all courses in nursing are in Icelandic, students must know fluent Icelandic in order to take a degree program in nursing. More information for students doing a degree program can be found in the Icelandic section of the website.
International exchange students
The faculty of nursing can arrange clinical practice at Icelandic hospitals and health care institutions for a few students every year from our partner schools. Exchange students typically stay in Iceland for three to six weeks. Our student exchanges primarily take place through our various exchange networks, such as Norlys, Nordinnet, Nordannet, Nordsne and Nordejordemodern.
We encourage early application for these positions, as the application process and the process of finding clinical placements can be complicated and time-consuming. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information
Many things must be taken into account when enrolling in university. The UI Course Catalogue is the ultimate guide for students during their studies.
