Dr. Linda Darling Hammond visits the University of Iceland

Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond presented a lecture september 1st on Teaching and Learning for the 21st Century. Over 250 people attended the lecture. Her lecture was about how nations need to rethink school systems to meet the demands of 21st century. New knowledge, new technologies, growing understanding of the diversity and range of global challenges, creating new expectations of how learning and teaching takes place. Dr. Darling-Hammond discussed the impact of these changes and the ways that could prove crucial to support teacher training and professional development, school redesign and improvement in all levels of education.
