Acts and regulations on Higher Education Institutions
The University of Iceland is a public higher education institution (HEI) that falls under the auspices of Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Two acts in particular cover higher education and the operation of the University:
The Higher Education Institution Act, no. 63/2006 (.pdf, draft translation), and the Act on Public Higher Education Institutions, no. 85/2008 (.pdf, draft translation).

Regulations applying specifically to the University of Iceland
