Graduation ceremony at the University of Iceland

Graduation ceremonies are held two times each year, in February and June.
The next graduation ceremony will take place Saturday, 23 June 2018.The candidates will receive a letter by email with further information as the ceremony draws near.
Students completing their degree studies in September can nevertheless obtain their degree certificates in October. Please contact the Faculty office or School office for further information.

Diplomas and Diploma Supplements

According to the rules of the University the Diploma Supplement is issued in a widely spoken European language, given automatically and free of charge to every student upon graduation.

Students receive their Diploma and the Diploma Supplement at graduation. The Diploma Supplement provides a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the study programme completed. The Diploma Supplement also contains a transcript of records. The Diploma is issued in Icelandic with a certified translation into English, but the Diploma Supplement is issued in Icelandic and English. If the student is not present at the graduation ceremony, he or she can collect the graduation papers at office hours at their Faculty, after the ceremony.
