The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences has the ambition to offer vigorous and challenging studies. The goal is that students graduating from the faculty have a solid education, which will provide many opportunities upon completion of studies. The diversity of human life is one of the characteristics of the faculty. It offers unusually varied programmes, which students can synthesise, thereby attaining general and practical knowledge in their main field of study, while at the same time maintaining individual emphasis, depending on interest.

Master's and doctoral programmes have been the main scope of growth in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in recent years. Graduate degree programmes at the faculty are both research based and practically oriented. The graduate degree programmes are both individualized and based on modules. Graduate diploma programmes are available in some subjects. Doctoral programmes are offered in all main subjects within the faculty.
