Welcome to the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition
The Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition aims to be a leading force in research and teaching on international scale. The Faculty is one of the most productive in terms of research and publications within the University of Iceland.
The faculty was established on July 1st, 2008 and teaching in nutrition commenced the following autumn. Prior to that Food Science had been offered on undergraduate and graduate level at the department of Food Science at the Faculty of Science.
The Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition offers undergraduate (BS) programmes, as well as graduate programmes (MS and PhD). Most courses are taught in Icelandic; except for a new and innovative international master in food science.
