María RúnMaría Rún Bjarnadóttir gives a talk, titled „Revenge porn from a human rights perspective“, on Monday 20 March, at 11 in the National and University Library of Iceland lecture hall.
 
María Rún is a Doctoral Researcher, at Sussex University, researching how human rights obligations of states are affected by the paradox of national jurisdictions of states and the global nature of internet.
 
In her talk María Rún discusses revenge porn in relation to the obligations of states to secure individual rights on the internet. The talk is partly grounded in a newly published scholarly article on the subject: „Does the Internet Limit Human Rights Protection? The Case of Revenge Porn“.
