The deadline for international students (other than exchange students) to apply for graduate studies is 1 February 2017 (for the 2017-2018 academic year). Nordic citizens are exempted and may apply for graduate studies until 15th April. An online application form will be available on the International students page when applications are being accepted.
The University of Iceland does not charge tuition fees, but the annual registration fee is ISK 75,000.
Applicants with citizenship outside the EEA/EFTA are required to pay a handling and processing fee of € 50 (ISK 8,000).
Faculty rules stipulate prerequisites and degrees required for an applicant to be eligible to apply for a specific programme. See information on supporting documents that may be required. Please note that proof of English proficiency requirements may apply to applicants whose native language is not English.
